WHAT’S NEW:
THE CURRENT
STATE OF THE MAC

  Intel Mac Mini

miniThe Mac Mini is an incredibly compact, inexpensive, and quiet machine. Pair it with an existing monitor or buy an inexpensive flat-panel monitor for it. Ask me which monitor to use and where to buy it. You can spend big bucks on a poor-quality monitor or a pittance on a very good monitor.

  Intel iMac

iMacThe new slimmer design of the iMac is inspired to the point of merging art and technology. With the dual-core Intel processors the iMac has become an excellent home machine, and a serviceable workstation. The iMac now comes with a glossy screen, takes much larger hard drives, and can use 4 gigabytes of memory. With it's built-in iSight camera, video chatting is easy right out of the box. Use Photo Booth to take photos. With the new 20" and 24" sizes, this is a great DVD player with remote control.

    Mac Pro

Mac ProThe Mac Pro has introduced new performance and expansion possibilities for people in the creative industries. Now many important applications are Intel native “Universal binaries” which means you can experience the full power of these machines. For those that need the fastest, an 8-core version is available.

    MacBook Pro
MacBook ProThe MacBook Pro (MBP) is now two very different computers, depending on the size. The new stat-of-the-art 15" came out in October 2008. The 17" model is almost identical in deign, to the PowerBook from many years ago. The 15" is a dream. The 17" should be updated soon. So wait if you are thinking of a 17" model. And get over to an Apple Store to be amazed when you get your hands on the new 15"

    MacBook Air
MacBookThe MacBook Air has been updated to run a bit faster and use a larger hard drive. It is a very light, extremely elegant laptop with limited ports and virtually no expandability. You will love it, but only love owning it if it fits into your lifestyle... AND you have another Mac as your main computer.

    MacBook (Aluminum)
MacBookThe MacBook is now a light, very elegant laptop. It is powerful and probably the best choice for anyone that wants a 13" laptop that is very functional in many environments. Without a FireWire port, it takes some creativity to do some of the things techies are used to doing with a MacBook.

    MacBook (White)
MacBookThe plastic MacBook was the laptop of choice for most of us through October 2008. It is still a great computer and really only suffers by comparison to its newer sibling.
